As part of the fundraising day this Sunday 22 January (see the links below if you don't know about it) there will be a fabulous raffle!

Tickets will be available at only a pound for a strip of five - and the tickets will be separated when the raffle is drawn, so for a pound you will have five chances to win these fantastic prizes kindly donated mainly by local businesses and residents.

Prizes include a ?40 voucher to spend at The Actress, a box of goodies from SMBS and a voucher for any pair of men's, women's or children's shoes from any Central London branch of Camper Shoes.

For a full list of the prizes so far confirmed, please see the attached list!

The raffle will be drawn at 6.45pm before our headliner Wizz Jones plays.

There will also be a sealed bids auction for two even more fabulous prizes - see the separate thread!

And even more information here!!

Edited to update the list of raffle prizes.

Very sorry, we did consider that, but we thought that it would become too complicated, and also disappointing/boring for people who are there if none of them win any of the raffle prizes!

If you know someone who is going, maybe they could buy raffle tickets for you?

The only reason we're allowing sealed bids for the auction beforehand is because there is potentially a greater amount of money involved to benefit the garden.

Thanks Admin, you're a star :)

Please everybody come to the fundraising day, hear lots of great music for practically nothing, buy raffle tickets to have a chance to win lots of great prizes, AND help your new local community garden at the same time!

Win-Win all round :)

And if you'd like to read the thread which tells you about the sealed bid auction for kindly donated items worth ?940 and ?450

Please click here!

Here's the updated list of raffle prizes!

Only a few days to go now, folks! Hope to see lots of you at DHFC (next to Sainsbury's) THIS SUNDAY 22 January from 2pm to 9pm for seven hours of top quality music plus the chance to win some brilliant prizes!

Don't forget - tickets are only a fiver, you can come and go all day for that, and UNDER 12s ARE FREE! We won't be asking for proof of age, but as this is a fundraising day, we hope you'll be honest :))

Let's all get together and raise lots of money for this excellent local initiative - a garden that everybody in the community can be involved with and share :)

And come and support six of our top local bands/musicians plus the legendary Wizz Jones - all for a fiver or free! They are all giving their time for nothing, including Wizz, in aid of the community garden, so we hope to have a good crowd for them!

:)-D

We do hope to see lots of you at DHFC tomorrow, in a nice warm cosy room listening to some brilliant music all day and into the evening, buying raffle tickets and cakes, and helping your new community garden at the same time!

You will be able to see the plans for the garden, and talk to some of the people involved - and volunteer to help if you feel like some outdoor exercise in 2012!

    • I called InPost when I saw the first parcel had been refused twice, they said it was because the shop didn't have capacity / space. I went to the shop and they basically said that was BS, that they had plenty of space and showed me the parcels from that day's InPost delivery - they even went through all the parcels to see if mine was there. I called them again a couple of days later after the tracking showed the first parcel had been refused twice more, and two others had also been refused. They said they'd investigate and would send me an email (nope) and to contact Vinted. I called them again today after further refusals, again they said they'd investigate and for me to contact Vinted - they seemed to intimate that they could only do something if Vinted contacted them, despite me trying to explain that it is impossible to contact anyone at Vinted, let alone get them to chase up parcels. Tbh I don't believe the tracking updates are based on actual events, it stinks of lost parcels that they just don't want to admit to, so just keep pretending they're trying to deliver them and update the tracking info. I can't think of any other reason this would happen. Although very odd if it is this, as all the parcels were sent from different places and at different times.
    • It’s not NIMBYism to say I don’t want high-rises in ED ... it’s just not what the area is. Liking the character of where you live isn’t a crime.
