Wanted smartphone for pensioner, basic and reasonably priced

Hi. I am attempting to help an older lady to sort out a phone she can use for texting and email. She's mostly deaf so a phone is useful for her to carry to give her confidence in being able to contact people if needed. Has anyone an older say Samsung galaxy for a reasonable price? Ideally unlocked and with a charger. Thanks
