Ok so i think it may be time for me to get up off this couch - there seems to be A LOT of exercising going on out there and its making me feel ever so Waynetta Slob. Pebbles i'm very VERY impressed you lost weight over a holiday - that takes some will power. I need to find me some of that this week. Two days left on my week and my weeks "extra 49" is already at 0 and there is still Easter Sunday to come, sigh - I was really hoping to to knock off a rather optimistic 3lbs this week bringing my total to 2 stone but its clear this target will have to be delayed. Maybe if I can finally make it into my trainers tomorrow. Keep up the good work everyone...

How's Easter been ladies? I had a lot of chocolate (and wine) last night but counted all of it, and have been walking and jogging as much as I can. Thankfully my baby sleeps well upon the buggy, so it works for both of us! Hubby entertained the older two at the playground yesterday while Kate and I pounded our way round the park.

If nothing else I feel so much healthier now that I'm eating well and exercising. Certainly a lot more energetic which is useful with 3 children to look after!

Well done Pickle. It is the exercise that's key for me.

We r away at a hotel with swimming pool so although I have been drinking a lot I've also counted and have been swimming everyday and used my activity points - which I don't normally use. Weigh in on Wed so fingers crossed

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Well done you guys! I am impressed with your efforts - both on the counting and the exercising fronts..... Unfortunately my efforts have been rather limited, unless you mean the chocolate and wine consumption efforts: they've been great... :( oh well, write this weekend off & get my butt into gear, only months to go to get a flat tummy....(or something that can squeeze into jeans at least!)

Keep up the good work!

Excellent stuff Uptime - give me a shout if you need any help!

I had a yummy Thai takeaway and wine last night, dug into my weekly points and really enjoyed it. Went for an hour long walk yesterday (with a rather hungover companion... How's the head today Pebbles?!), and took grumpy baby out for a 40 min walk/jog late this afternoon so that she would sleep.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Bollocks Easter and minus points have finally caught up with me - 2lb weight gain this week - a WHOPPING TWO WHOLE POUNDS!!!! I'm extremely annoyed and pretty much feel like the last 2-3 weeks has been a total waste of time. And so annoyed as I was so close to being only a stone away from target weight. I went straight out and marched for an hour this morning with baby strapped to my front. I walked so fast my butt cheeks have been hurting ever since - what a sight that must have been. Urgh. Right. No. More. Rubbish. Must. Do. Better. Going to try and steer clear of weekly points this week and get those trainers on...

Grotty, you're tackling the gain straight away so it will be gone as quickly as it went on! Has your week continued to be good?

A good result for me this morning, with a 1lb loss, bringing my total to 13. The first number of my weight has changed, always a boost! I'm expecting my losses to slow down a bit now as I get closer to my goal but hopefully the weight will continue to fall. I'm already at the healthy level on my pedometer so hoping to earn a couple of extra points today despite the weather.

I have exceeded my daily pro-points each day so far this week (not an ideal start I know) but logging my food intake has given me a real insight into what needs to change if I really want to lose this excess weight. And that I also need to be much smarter about what food I stock in the fridge and cupboard. Hmm, not biscuits and wine. Got to get over two nights out with girlfriends and then it's a fresh start come Saturday.

Bit gutted today. Had to miss weigh in as was driving down to see mate in Cirencester (Junction 15 on M4). The trip both ways was utterly awful with the weather and traffic so i've spent a total of 6 1/2 hours in the car for a 4 1/2 hour visit - what this ended with was kids getting fed up - understandably - so me stopped at service station to get them their tea as we were no where near home - and me buying a (v large) bar of chocolate and EATING IT ALL - i know i know - Pickle - i should have phoned you and you would have stopped me - but i didn't want to be stopped so therefore i didn't phone!!!!!!!!

HOWEVER i have a week before next weigh in to take it off so starting a fresh again tomorrow (after i polish off this bottle of wine that i obviously need after having had such a bad day!!!) and i'll be back at weigh in with vengeance :)

Don't get disheartened like me - it's just a blip :)

::o PEBBLES!!! (although fully understand and probably would have done the same!)

Make sure you enter both the chocolate and wine into your tracker so you know what you're dealing with. In the scheme of things it won't matter, you'll be fine with a whole week to recover.

In a service station chocolate is probably the healthiest option :)

Just back from a rehearsal, managed to resist the biscuits at break time and happily have arrived home and realised I have enough points for a Curly Wurly.

hmmmmm - interestinly I found out that my weight changes depending on where in the bathroom i put the scales... even though it's not on carpet. So am now trying to find the perfect spot, hehehe. In honesty though, diet has taken a dive over last week - there was still chocolate in the house & LO was difficult, little sleep and, yes, you guessed it: not sticking to the diet plan..... buhuuuu

This thread is really inspirational- willstart serious exercising!

Grotty, hope you had a successful weigh in this morning. Uptime, how are you doing?

Good weekend for me, had my usual takeaway/chocolate/wine on Saturday but all pointed. Managed a jog on Sat morning, but no exercise yesterday. However I headed straight to Dulwich Park after school drop off this morning and jogged a few laps with the baby so feeling virtuous!

Here's to a good week.

Yep, much better and have stuck to my points for three days in a row. Also managed to get in two exercise sessions. Am having to resort to weight watchers ready meals in the evening, which are a bit gruesome, but next week I'll start trying out some of the recipes. Am determined to get this weight off.

Brilliant. Absolutely no need to be eating WW meals though, and really no need to use their recipes either (although I do, as the recipe books are fab as simply nice food cooked in healthy ways). The beauty of WW is that you can eat "normal" food with a few simple changes in terms of not using fat/oil etc.

I slow cooked a chicken today, so had a nice simple meal of chicken, new potatoes and veg which was low points and very tasty.

Ok so had a total light bulb moment this week. Lost a whopping 4 yes FOUR whole pounds. For the first time in probably months I didn't go over my daily points allowance, didn't use any of the weeks extra points and had a good walk (not quite got the trainers on yet but its a start!) and there you have it - a nice good chunky slice of weight loss. Its definitely too much to be losing each week and I certainly can't keep up that level of ruthless determination, but its a huge boost so YAY.

Moral to this story is um oh yes, the 2 pillars of weight loss: healthy eating and exercise. Now why didn't i think of that before....

Hope everyone else is going ok.
