eberg
This an old, old business. Have a thought for the vendors though, they are usually in debt to Fagin like characters who beat them if they don't return with cash. Vendors are usually suffering from homelessness, alcohol, drug and mental health problems. Just politely decline and close the door, there may be a bit of effing and jeffing but they do just go away. Kes
Seems it's Nunhead's turn tonight. Young guy saying he was from some kind of homeless organisation. I told him politely that we don't give money or buy anything at the door and he went away with no problem.Although afterwards I realised my hair looked like I'd been electrocuted and I was wearing a tinsel crown (had just got the kids to bed), so he was probably more disturbed by the incident than I was. ????
Years ago in the early 80s some well known lads from West Ham did this, they was in a documentary called knockers, they went onto become famous for other dodgy behaviour....as old as front doors this one.
