Recommended electrician - Shaun Owens

I've come onto the forum purely to recommend electrician Shaun Owens. He's saved the day on two occasions for us know, once late at night when we had a new born baby where he was round immediately and more recently to rectify a live wire in our kitchen. He is professional, helpful, reasonably priced and a genuinely nice guy. He even spent time explaining exactly what he was doing and how it all worked which was much appreciated. Wouldn't look anywhere else for an electrician again!

Hey guys - first post!

We're finding the forum super useful and having just moved to the area after buying our first flat we had a issue that needed sorting really quickly before decorators could get to work. We text Shaun and he arranged to come the next day. He was polite, professional and clearly had our best interests at heart. He managed to sort the issue in double quick time and even sorted out some other things that needed doing to make sure we got our money's worth. Great guy who we couldn't rate more highly.

Hi all- I saw these great reviews of Shaun so gave him a ring a few weeks ago and arranged for him to do an electricians report of the house I'm moving into. However since agreeing to this- to my knowledge he has visited the property - he has proved impossible to contact- I've tried ringing and emailing repeatedly. Has he changed his number or email recently? Any help would be greatly appreciated- a little confusing to see that he is taking on new jobs. Not an ideal situation as it's the last thing I'm waiting on before completing the purchase!!

Thanks All,

Sam

I used Shaun following the excellent recommendations on this forum. I need a rental property certificate. Initially he was great- he responded quacking, undertook the job of fitting new smoke alarms, which was very expensive at over ?500. I never saw the certificate despite reassurances that it had been electronically sent to me. I chased him, he never responded. His work is not that good as he put a whole in my ceiling before check the wiring. He did fix it but you can see the patch up job. He is most probably okay for basic jobs but when you run into problems he disappears and he is expensive.

Unfortunately another no show for Shaun. I arranged for him to come to us do for a few small jobs last Friday, after confirming the appointment he did not turn up and has not returned my calls or texts. Very frustrating as I'd taken the morning off work to wait in for him. Anyone know another electrician please? We still need one as Shaun has seemingly vanished!

    • There's been a spate of phone snatching around East Dulwich station and along Lordship Lane. But don't let that put you off the area, these things come and go. I've never had an issue late at night in the areas you talk about and I've been around here for 18yrs (before I moved I had the same concerns as you). Go visit your areas late at night at different times for your own peace of mind (I did)
    • Posted September 20, 202Hello all Hello all Just a quick message to say I've just had a job postponed so I have some time available to do some work for you if you should need a painter around the end of the month. I also do a variety of other jobs too so if anyone needs a handyman, please feel free to get in touch. Happy to do a free quote. Thanks for reading
    • So sorry to hear this. Our bike was stolen from outside Dulwich Library earlier this month. We had a D Lock and they still got through. Probably the same person who’s just cruising up and down the lane. I hope you find it.
    • Hi, I would like to raise some awareness around East Dulwich especially on Lordship lane.  Today my bike electric bike was stolen from in front of my house between the hours of 9:00 and 10:45. If anyone see anything I would be very grateful.  Please do not use a chain lock to lock your bike. Preferably a d-lock. My bike was double locked with two chains and they still manage to take it. Be careful and be aware of Thief.  Here are some pictures of my bike. If you see or hear anything I would really appreciate it.
