Phase 1 is for just the congestion charge zone, but you're right it then will be the whole of East Dulwich..

Drove through Grove Hill Road this morning to go Sainsburys and there were parking wardens about, one taking details of a car parked up on the new CPZ which probably shouldn't be there if they had read the signs. It's Christmas Eve but the wardens are out there sometimes!

Southwark do post out permits to residents in CPZs but as long as you've done it all on-line there really is no need to display the permit. I don't.

We've had a CPZ for nearly two years and talking to the people who whizz about checking on vehicles, it's all done on-line and they get to know after a while who are residents, visitors, etc.

Does anyone know the extent of this CPZ? We had a letter a little while ago, but as I don't own a vehicle, I put it to one side. But we are having visitors at the weekend who will be driving, so I'm trying to decipher it all.

We are in Petworth House, so off Pytchley Road. There are no signs or markings (it's one crazy free-for-all out there), and no cars seem to have permits in the windows. I'd always parked here without anything before this (with a hire car or visitors), but am not unsure if I need a permit?

Looks like Pytchley Road itself is permitted, but there is no info whatsoever on the Council site, that I can see at least, as to what is happening on the estate.

the_greeno,

If you mean parking in the public street, then it will not be on the estate parking system. The estate parking officers may have no connection with or knowledge of street parking controls.

CPZ permits are not now displayed in the car window.

Any parking controls in place will be displayed on road markings and signs on posts.

Anyway you have now realised that it is not only car owners who are affected by CPZ's

Hi Mark

I've lived in plenty of areas with CPZ's in the past, so am well aware of the issues for those with and without cars. My problem here was that the info available was not clear - and was hard to clarify. I was interested in the estate parking, and had called/emailed the relevant contacts beforehand, only getting through today.
