OAKIE95
Hi All,Is anyone else irritated by the Papa John's advertising trailer that has appeared outside their new takeaway on East Dulwich Road? What an eyesore! What can we do to get it removed? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/21135-papa-johns-advertising-trailer/ Share on other sites
h3+
It is such an eyesore. Who do we need to complain too? I recommend the place on Melbourne Grove, much better then this chain rubbish. James Barber
Council officers have confirmed this advertisement would need advertising consent and none has been applied for and it will be investigated. RosieH
There ARE some fab butts around on a Lordship Lane morning - ED daddies do very well with the help of a little personal training - and some even without. dds29
Hello James, I walked past the Papa John's trailer again today; they've manoeuvred it into an even more prominent position, (if that's possible) any news from the council? and can we add complaints, and to whom?dds Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/21135-papa-johns-advertising-trailer/#findComment-512082 Share on other sites

anotherrichard
I spoke to the guy at Papa Johns who said it is meant to be towed around as an advert but their 4x4 is broken. He said it will be gone by the end of Jan. It's good to up the prominence of the parade for us (BC Bikes) but when it obscures the shop it get's annoying. Thomas Micklewright
End of Jan, surely if they don't have the legitimate paperwork the council can tow it and sell it for scrap metal? James Barber
Today I received an email from the lead officer.Papa Johns havebeen told Southwark legal dept are asking up their case after the warning letter was ignored and that fine is likely to be ?1,000 + ?40 for every day.I'm sure others will decide that supporting any business that clearly disregards the law and the local environment doesn't warrant their support. Just had to take issue here as I am aware of this said 'eyesore'. Slightly harsh words given rye lane is only round the corner, I wonder how many shopfronts there have full Ad Consent. That aside, there is a slight aroma of hypocrisy given that I get unsolicited advertisements from the lib dems through my letter box on a fairly regular basis Mr Barber... I guess you don't need permission to push your politics into my front room. Might is suggest all fly posters seek my permission in future before they become an unwarranted eyesore in my home.Sorry if I missed something. dulwichbloke
I was delighted to see this advertising trailer - if it hadn't been there I might not have seen the great deal they were doing on large or extra large pizzas! The only downside is, I have put on several pounds since Papa Johns opened up close by! I intend to keep supporting them though - I'll just have to cut back on my other food... taper
Reminds me of the Half Man Half Biscuit line;'I ring up Dial-A-PizzaI ring up Dial-A-PizzaI ring up Dial-A-PizzaAnd say that?s not how I would spell ?Hawaiian?'On inspection, and disappointingly, Papa John's get the spelling right on their menu.
