That'd look more mature if you hadn't already participated in this thread, KK.

I started this thread because I was concerned that the forum was being used as a tool for pursuing personal vendettas and intimidating others regarding an incident that has nothing to do with the forum, nor opinions expressed thereon (before anyone accuses me of having a vendetta against uncleglen, of course I do, I have a thing about antisemitic racist Islamaphobes, but I only ever call him on things he says on here). I expressed my concern to Admin but nothing was done (I now realise, thanks to some posters above, that they may have sound reasons for this) and so asked if anyone else was bothered about it as an issue. The responses have generally been interesting and thoughtful. You are at liberty to ignore and/or not participate in threads that you think are shite, you know.

I agree. I requested its closure (and also for the thread to disappear). I was ignored by admin.

As a test, I started a thread relating to rendel harris. I started the thread with an identically worded statement to how he started this thread ( I literally copied and pasted a lot from his start). I deliberately did this to test whether there was special treatment being given out.

I soon got my answer when the thread completely disappeared.

I've enquired about the extreme and obvious double standards, but with no response at all.

The problem is, Steve, that you are being persecuted.

That was a good wheeze though (starting a test thread) to see whether there is a conspiracy leading to double standards. I can confidently say that in no way does that suggest you are paranoid, nutty, obsessive or anything like that.

The difference is, Steve, is that I was raising a legitimate concern about your use of this forum, whereas you, by your own admission, were just playing silly buggers. Admin has already cut you a huge amount of slack in allowing you to post your "Call for witnesses" on three separate occasions and allowing you to lock your threads to prevent any dissenting voices. This is something I've never seen anyone else allowed to do, so if anyone has received special treatment it's you. It's been a while since you promised you were leaving because you had the "real world to return to," don't you think it's about time you did so?

    • SNTs don't, as you seem to imply,  consist of just PCSOs. I thought we all knew that.  This one comprises a sergeant, two PCs and a PCSO:  https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351681-dulwich-hill-newsletter-september-2024/#comment-1681337 or https://www.met.police.uk/area/your-area/met/southwark/dulwich-hill/on-the-team/crime-map. i've been to another SNT's meetings, and looked at the Met details of some others, and that complement looks fairly typical.  I've not been to one of these Cuppa things so can't speak of them.
    • PCSOs may not need specific qualifications, but they go through a reasonably rigorous recruitment process. Or at least they used to. It may have changed.
    • The ones I've dropped into may be organised by PCSOs in the SNT but regular PCs have attended. They have actually been a cuppa with a copper, but not necessarily loads of them.
    • @Pereira Neves "Cuppa with a Coppa" is a misrepresentation as PCSOs are not real police.   They have no more powers of arrest that any public citizen. They may have the "authority" to advise the regular police of a crime - just like Joe Public. One exception is that they can issue fixed penalty notices to people who cycle on a footpath. We see people cycling on the footpath every day but have never seen a PCSO issue a fixed penalty notice to anybody. No  qualifications are needed to become a PCSO.  At best, all they do is reassure and advise the public with platitudes.
