rachel4
Advice please. I'm wanting to get a second buggy to use on the bus and take in the car. Which is better, the Quest or Triumph?? I can't decide! Lightweight is important but also want it to recline properly for naps. I have a 13 month old. many thanks. Ruth_Baldock
Neither recline fully but i think the quest lies flatter than the triumph. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20999-maclaren-quest-or-triumph/#findComment-508155 Share on other sites
snowboarder
I thought the main difference was that the triumph uses a multi position strap style recline - like the phil and teds, but the quest has 3 set seat positions. The quest has a slightly better seat and extends a bit for short leg comfort. I have heard people prefer the quest (i have it - it's fine for bus and car!), I've not tried the triumph... ClareC
I've got a quest and wouldn't recommend going for something less comfortable than that. Its a great car boot / bus buggy but neither of my two sleep well in it. Problem is the Maclaren that goes flat and is more comfortable (techno?) is loads bigger and heavier so not as good for car and bus. That said, we had a double techno as a holiday buggy and despite going flat didn't seem any more comfortable. Definitely don't go any lighter / flimsier than the quest. Ruth_Baldock
Well...we have the triumph, which is one down from the quest, and it's fine for Lex (5mo). We have a seat liner in it though, I don't think she'd be comfy in it regardless. Sleeps LOADS in it. As does/did Seb; slept for 3.5 hours in it when we went on holiday. However, I would prefer the quest because of the seat extending and it being slightly sturdier. I have a hankering for this tbh...http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_136568_10001 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20999-maclaren-quest-or-triumph/#findComment-508170 Share on other sites

sanity girl
I'd definitely go for the quest over the triumph - it reclines better and is slightly more comfortable Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20999-maclaren-quest-or-triumph/#findComment-508258 Share on other sites
crystal7
Another vote for the Quest- very easy to recline. We put a sheepskin in there when E was little (we got it when she was 11 months) and she always slept as well in it as she did in the Bugaboo. Belle
there's a quest on mothercare.com currently reduced to ?100 : http://www.mothercare.com/Maclaren-Quest-Mod-Stroller-Diamond/dp/B0030GCJLY?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_11&nodeId=44346031&sr=1-11&qid=1324057782&pf_rd_r=0VGYWX432TFVPWZKRX28&pf_rd_m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=44346031&pf_rd_p=231490867&pf_rd_s=related-tab-3-5 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20999-maclaren-quest-or-triumph/#findComment-508338 Share on other sites
Ko
we have a quest and my little one will sleep in it and is nice that it reclines a bit.agree with person above who says although there is a maclaren that reclines flat, it is heavier.i got the quest for the car and it is fine weight-wise for lifting in and out of the car - doesn't feel a struggle and i can manage it even with my back injury. i use my bee on the bus and that weight is fine for getting on and off the bus.
