El Pibe
It is.Does anyone still have a gas oven? I've a gas hob with electric oven. There's got to be better ways to go than roasting ones head surely. Peckhamgatecrasher
Well throwing oneself from the top of Bart's seems fraught with difficulties. El Pibe
I'm preparing myself to be unconvinced by any explanation to do with molly and her corpses (most of which are playing for England today it would appear). But I guess that'd be in keeping with the books wouldn't. Wasn't he actually killed off then reluctantly resurrected?(yeah yeah, wrong thread) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2096-idle-cricket-musing/page/57/#findComment-515318 Share on other sites

maxxi
Come, come - not a bad recovery. There have been many (many) worse first days. I suggest a little light banging-head-off-a-door-jamb or singeing of peripheral hair. Then - on realising that Monty wasn't in fact playing - despite performing well in the warm ups - and that Swann has been flinging flans recently - sellotape head to door jamb and ask partner to slam door. Brendan
There was a drug in the last Baskervilles episode which renders the subject susceptible to suggestion. Could it be that he gave this to Watson, convinced him that it was him jumping but actually threw the other body off? Has this theory already been discussed ad nauseum? maxxi
The good (?!) thing is that it's obviously a slack/stale/tired/rusty approach and careless execution - Boycott was right, rather than being got out they got themselves out.*mumbles something about hitting that with a stick of rhubarb* Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2096-idle-cricket-musing/page/57/#findComment-516066 Share on other sites

That would assume there was an alternative. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2096-idle-cricket-musing/page/57/#findComment-516170 Share on other sites
Atticus
Outplayed, out-thought, out classed. to stay an No.1 in the world, a team needs to know how to play on all piches (as India found last summer). England's batsmen have continually struggled on sub-continental style pitches (world cup last year... Sri Lanka next!!! Atticus
added to this if KP and Bell fail to deliver, in the next two Tests I would drop them. For the next game I would play Panesar for Tremlett. Loz
Bit harsh on Bell. Though he was entirely bamboozled by Ajmal, he was in pretty good form leading up to this series. Besides, whilst the bowling stocks are good, England have a pretty bare bench when it comes to batting. Ravi Bopara for Bell is not an inspiring thought.
