I unfotunately couldn't comment at the time as I was extrmemly busy sitting in 30 degree sunshine, drinking ice cold beer and watching the match.

I'm preparing myself to be unconvinced by any explanation to do with molly and her corpses (most of which are playing for England today it would appear). But I guess that'd be in keeping with the books wouldn't. Wasn't he actually killed off then reluctantly resurrected?

(yeah yeah, wrong thread)

Come, come - not a bad recovery. There have been many (many) worse first days. I suggest a little light banging-head-off-a-door-jamb or singeing of peripheral hair.

Then - on realising that Monty wasn't in fact playing - despite performing well in the warm ups - and that Swann has been flinging flans recently - sellotape head to door jamb and ask partner to slam door.

There was a drug in the last Baskervilles episode which renders the subject susceptible to suggestion. Could it be that he gave this to Watson, convinced him that it was him jumping but actually threw the other body off?

Has this theory already been discussed ad nauseum?

I'm not sure that being so clueless about the length and spin of a ball and so deciding that the only solution was a wild cross-batted swipe can be entirely called 'getting yourself out'. That would assume there was an alternative.

Outplayed, out-thought, out classed. to stay an No.1 in the world, a team needs to know how to play on all piches (as India found last summer). England's batsmen have continually struggled on sub-continental style pitches (world cup last year... Sri Lanka next!!!
Bit harsh on Bell. Though he was entirely bamboozled by Ajmal, he was in pretty good form leading up to this series. Besides, whilst the bowling stocks are good, England have a pretty bare bench when it comes to batting. Ravi Bopara for Bell is not an inspiring thought.

    • I was a late starter, just 17, when I started to go to pubs regularly.  I'd been bought a drink by a family friend before that.  We had several pubs that catered for under age drinkers, one 15 +, one 16+ etc till we graduated to the 18+ pub and felt really grown up.  And at those young ages alcohol tolerance was low so you could nurse your drink for an hour or so. The curse of binge drinking came later.....
    • Maybe they just eat ice and the wrapper made of ice dissolves in their bin. Have you checked for signs of water inside ?
