Antique gentleman's wardrobe

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I've just put this wardrobe on eBay, thought I may as well post it here too in case anyone is interested and wants to make me an offer I can't refuse :)

This is an antique wardrobe in what I believe is quarter sawn oak. I believe they call this style a 'gentleman's wardrobe'. It is in pretty good condition, please see the pics for any blemishes or ask for further pics if you need more detail.

I don't know which year it was made. It is all solid wood construction and has a single door with inlaid mirror. Inside there is a small shelf on each side with hanging rails beneath, with integrated hooks. There is also a rotating three-pronged hook placed centrally inside. The top carved (moulded?) piece is detachable.

width 118 cm (46.5")

height 187 cm (73.5")

depth 41 cm (16")

Pickup from Copleston Road , or as I am a streetvan member I can deliver it anywhere locally for the price of an hour's van rental (it's a tenner I think).
