Hi there


I'm looking to talk to mums who have been trying for quite some time to get a job for a programme item on a morning TV show on the back of release of new unemployment figures....we want to talk about the difficulties you are facing and also to offer some practical advice.       The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?

      Generator running in The Gardens/Dominic Court

      Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.

      Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
