?I am sorry to tell you that suspects unknown have made multiple applications for bank cards from one bank for addresses in the Dulwich area. These have been flagged up with the bank as they had been used previously for similar purposes. Because of this the bank has not issued the cards. Addresses used range from Calton Avenue/Turney Road up to Rosendale Rd/Great Brownings.

PCDaniel McLynn has been in contact with Royal Mail investigations about this.

A man and a woman have tried to intercept mail for 3 addresses in the village by pretending to be residents. The post people have stuck to their training(which had been reinforced earlier this year) and refused to hand over any mail.

PC McLynn said that at this stage it looks as if the suspects are working independently and are not thought to be linked to the Royal Mail. The suspects seen so far have been described as a man and a woman, possibly of Nigerian origin. Unfortunately there are no further descriptions of them. The woman was seen to get into a car and drive off when a postman refused to hand over post. Unfortunately he did not get the car registration. If you see anything suspicious, or experience anyone trying to get post before it is delivered please make a description of the person and get a car registration if they drive off in a car.?

    • Hello, I found some keys on Monday morning on Melbourne Grove. The keyring was not Donald Duck though. Could it be another keyring?
    • As a note of recommendation, I did this course in Rye Oak Centre, Peckham and gained so much from it. Was such a lovely, supportive group.
    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.
    • Just that really - lookiing for a box to fit size 45 x 45 x 55 cm. Many thanks
