Hi there,

I heard there was a discussion going on here about starting a Mums and Babies meet-up in Camberwell, but I can't find it. Any pointers?

(I'm terrified of the "this is for East Dulwich only" backlash that this may well induce, but I've decided to risk it...)

I don't think anybody ever gets tapped on the wrist for discussing Camberwell, Peckham, Nunhead, Forest Hill, Herne Hill... etc on here. In fact, my bets are on over half of EDF not even living in East Dulwich.

But you should take this topic to the Family Room, as it doesn't belong in ED issues & gossip.

Hiya,

I think I posted something on this on the spring 2011 babies thread ages ago- I'm one of the nct Camberwell tea group coordinators. There are plenty of us in SE5! Sadly I am going back to work f/t in Jan but up for any cake based meet ups before then!

If you pm me your email address I'll send it on to the other coordinator. You don't have to be a member of the nct, by the way - it's open to all.

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
