Release, Restore & Renew Yin Yoga Workshop

Saturday 1 December

3-5pm

at Zen Yoga Camberwell

?30

Tune into your body and mind with the changing seasons - from warm, energetic summer to the colder, more grounding winter months. This yin yoga workshop will encourage us to slow down, to turn inwards towards our deepest self and become more introspective.

Longer, passive holds in delicious hip-released, spine and heart openers and hamstring stretches will nurture you and relieve any tension and physical stresses that have accumulated. We will work on surrendering rather than resisting; diving deeper into sensations; stilling the mind from its chatter; breathing so deeply into the body so that it feels even more spacious, even more open.

You?ll be led through guided breathing and meditation techniques that you can take home with you, which will leave you feeling spacious, calm and grounded. Suitable for all levels, there will be plenty of props for support and modifications for those recovering from injury.

    • This is a commonly held misconception. The Dulwich Estate’s Scheme of Management is self funding. The annual charge which those of us who live on the Estate are obliged to pay on an annual basis does NOT go to funding the Foundation Schools or the other Beneficiaries of Edward Alleyn’s estate. www.thedulwichestate.org.uk/property-on-the-estate/residential-freehold/ the scheme of management will tell you all you need to know about this feudal tithe gathering enterprise created in 1974. The Dulwich Estate Charity is bound to distribute every year its disposable income to its beneficiaries, which include the three Dulwich Foundation Schools. In 2022-3 this was £5m.
    • Yes, woken up by that one; presumably not a wedding!
    • Another little outburst of colourful ordinance at 2:20am this morning.
