Dmudmum
As we are new to the area I was wondering if anybody could point out some nice/children friendly streets around ED (we live close too North Cross road) for tomorrow?s trick or treating?! We had experiences before where not all the houses are happy having children hang on the doors.Thank you in advance Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/208378-trick-or-treating-tomorrow-in-ed/ Share on other sites
kristymac1
Hi, most streets off Lordship Lane are very friendly to trick or treaters. The rule tends to be if the house is decorated or has a pumpkin outside its safe to knock! goldilocks
Yes would echo this - only go to those houses which have Halloween decorations out. Also would generally expect people to stay local to their own houses as a general rule - eg we are probably just going to stay on our street. Dmudmum
Thank you very much for replying! So there are no streets that are closed off for the occasion? goldilocks
There's also a Halloween trail in Sydenham on the high street and a Halloween celebration in Herne Hill in the square outside the station. Other than that don't think there are any closed off roads - there were some street parties at the weekend, but can't think of anything tomorrow night. Some streets seem to go more 'all out' for it than others though! Louie2015
What time are people hoping to start? I don?t want to be out late with little ones but don?t want to be knocking doors too early Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/208378-trick-or-treating-tomorrow-in-ed/#findComment-1290080 Share on other sites
MissDumpling
Head to the very corner of The Gardens, No 17, if you?re nearby or on your way to Aneto 😀 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/208378-trick-or-treating-tomorrow-in-ed/#findComment-1290088 Share on other sites
