Hi. This is the first christmas that my sons are at a nursery instead of a childminder and I am just wondering if people buy christmas presents for the keyworkers that look after their children? Obviously with a childminder it is easy as you only have one present to get but at the nursery they seem to have a number of different carers looking after them throughout the day and it would seeem unfair to just buy something for their designated keyworker when in fact all the staff seem to help out but that would mean buying about 8 presents!

Is your LO old enough to make some biscuits / cakes.....or a card. Makes it possible to give individual gifts without having to shell out too much cash and surely the staff will appreciate something made by those in their care as much as a shop-bought offering.

But remember, it's the effort that will be valued...not necessarily the perfection of the finished product!

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
