Just a warning to everybody, my 11 year old grandson has just come home after a boy tried to steal his phone. He was stopped by a boy of about 13/14 years of age. There was actually 3 boys but only one of them was trying to steal the phone the others were telling them to leave him alone. The boy asked him the time and he said he didn?t have a watch, so he said if u have a phone look on there. He took the phone from him and made him change the pin code, he then put a new code in. My grandson was crying and thankfully a lady and her young daughter intervened as she could see something wasn?t right. She made the boy give the phone back, despite getting verbally abused by the boy. She then brought my grandson home so that she knew he was ok. Thank you so much to the lady if she is on the forum, she is a real angel.

My grandson is very shook up, but if it wasn?t for the lady intervening i would hate to think what could have happened. There are some good people in the community. Thank you again.

    • Hello, I found some keys on Monday morning on Melbourne Grove. The keyring was not Donald Duck though. Could it be another keyring?
    • As a note of recommendation, I did this course in Rye Oak Centre, Peckham and gained so much from it. Was such a lovely, supportive group.
    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.
    • Just that really - lookiing for a box to fit size 45 x 45 x 55 cm. Many thanks
