A HUGE recommendation for The Cake Store in Sydenham. I had a bit of a cake emergency (long story-don't ask) on the morning of my 6 year old's dragon-themed birthday party so started frantically searching the web...and found The Cake Store. They came up with this (photo attached) in 2.5 hours and didn't even charge extra since it was an emergency order. It was delicious. I can't recommend them highly enough.

  It was looking very faded and not a patch on how it looked originally. I’d have preferred to see it re-done but seeing as that’s no longer an option, another mural would look good there.

  I really enjoyed the play at the National Theatre Nye (Bevan) about the politician and the establishment of the NHS. He had to seriously compromise including some element of the private sector, GP practices, pharmacies being independent businesses, and consultants keeping on private work The days that a working class person from the valleys can be on the Cabinet are all but gone. But even then he was an outlier
