I never found that to be the case. No I'm not "dissing" the place or looking for an argument. In my experience I have often found the staff to be a bit cold and their choice and availability of stock to be rather limited. Quite clearly I've had a need of a different genre of book in the past... Foyles and Book Etc. often meet my requirments... florian
I would have to agree that Foyles and Books, etc. offer a far wider choice of books than one's local bookshop. However, for a really vast selection of books, I would also recommend Amazon.co.uk. Not only as I have said, do they offer such a fantastic selection, they also offer reduced prices. Going back to Chener Books, then, I feel that for a "local" bookshop, their supply is more than adequate, but it depends on what one is looking for.
