It is reported (in the Bristol Post, amongst many other red-tops I think) that whilst offering no threat to people, these Harlequin ladybirds, blown in from abroad, carry STIs which impact our native ladybirds. Interestingly that is a similar problem that our native red squirrel faces from the New World Greys.

These are wonderful 'foreigners are awful' stories from the popular press - no doubt the next set of headlines will demonstrate how these Harlequins are reducing house prices and taking our jobs.

On the search thing (Chrome/Google) on my mobile I get a load of "articles for you" underneath the search box, which in weak moments I read. I have a lot of weak moments :))

Despite supposedly having identified subjects I am interested in, I still get mainly crap, and you're right. The Express does this all the time, and it's REALLY annoying.

I had never previously noticed that it was only the Express which did this, but I've just looked, and it is.

    • Hello, I found some keys on Monday morning on Melbourne Grove. The keyring was not Donald Duck though. Could it be another keyring?
    • As a note of recommendation, I did this course in Rye Oak Centre, Peckham and gained so much from it. Was such a lovely, supportive group.
    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.
    • Just that really - lookiing for a box to fit size 45 x 45 x 55 cm. Many thanks
