Earl Aelfheah
There is what sounds like an owl, hooting it?s head off near Heber Road. Could it actually be an owl, or perhaps something else? Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/206078-owl/ Share on other sites

monkeyspanner
Sometimes the foxes make a calling sound to each other which I've mistaken for an owl before. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/206078-owl/#findComment-1283697 Share on other sites

karpar
I've just posted about hearing an owl - it's still hooting. I'm on Dunstans and there are a lot of large trees in our back gardens. Last week I saw a sparrow hawk in my neighbours garden. So heartwarming Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/206078-owl/#findComment-1284912 Share on other sites
Nigello
I think I just heard it! Is it on the school side of Dunstans or across the crossroads going to Underhill? PeckhamRose
An owl can be heard on a regular basis around the rear of Rye Hill Estate. Joyful, except when it wakes you up like from the scene in My Cousin Vinny.
