Laddy Muck
Thank you Jeremy.Sorry Sue, if I wasn't clear. Yes, I was talking about Southwark's "Score on Doors" star ratings, though I take your point in that I wouldn't expect to pay at TCC what I am prepared to pay at Ganapati. Whilst I had a lovely evening at TCC, that was more down to the company I was with, the staff at TCC and the general ambience of the place. The meal, whilst more than edible, sufficient and very, very fresh, I found to be distinctly average - for Thai food. However, I feel this was fairly reflected in the price and - all in all - I would return. As Re-re, the OP, pointed out, they coped admirably with our "rowdy" party of 17. Indeed, service was excellent. It was fun! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20586-ganapati-in-peckham/page/2/#findComment-508465 Share on other sites

Special thanks to Kerry for looking after me. And as for you, Laddy Muck, I succinctly recall all the rowdiness came from your end of the table. Alan Medic
Can we clarify now once and for all, I have no medical qualification. As for wisdom UDT, the type you needed was to know that you could have departed, purchased some vino and been back in two minutes. Undisputedtruth
Couldn't really, AM, I was out all day earlier and arrived late for the meal. Must admit, I was a bit puzzled why everyone had a bottle of wine next to them for a period of time.My Physic's teacher had Doctor in his title and I don't think he had medical qualifications either. giantbears
I live pretty near Ganapatti and went for the first time last week - bloody loved it. I am veggie and so absolutely love South Indian food (plus I really like coconuts and lentils anyway.) I had the vegetarian thali which I think was about ?12 and was absolutely stuffed, and the paratha was the best I have ever had. Gorgeous restaurant, and very friendly service. I'm super pleased to have it on my doorstep. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20586-ganapati-in-peckham/page/2/#findComment-508822 Share on other sites
lozzyloz
Ditto Giantbears. The Paratha's are fantastic. Buttery, soft and moist with a delicate flaky crispness on the outside. Jeremy
I saw it before it was deleted. I thought it was OK, as that forum specifically doesn't target Dulwich, so not in direct competition.
