This ride starts from Dulwich Clock Cafe in Dulwich Park SE21 7BQ at 10am and ends in the same place two hours later -- cafes good beginning and end points for exercise. This does have some ups towards the end. it's the usual easy-paced ride on mostly quiet streets and paths.

The plan is to head to Crystal Palace Park at the end but start by going down to Peckham Rye Park and then on to Catford and New Beckenham via National Route NR21. Back from there to Crystal Palace Park via the entrances at the bottom and do a circuit of the park including the dinosaurs pic attached). By then everyone will be at or close to the top of the hill and ready to cruise back down to Dulwich. I don't want to mention the word "steep" but there will be time to walk some sections. Amanda will be leading. The route is here:

This ride is brought to you by Bruce Lynn and his friends on behalf of Southwark Cyclists who are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign which campaigns for safer, more fun cycling in London. You don't need to be a member of anything or live in Southwark. Everyone is welcome and like everything we do it's free.

Our website and all Bruce's rides (and ride reports) are here: https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk

Need a quick check on your bike? This is one of Southwark Cyclists Dr Bike weeks. Free Bike Maintenance Oct 4th 5.30-7.30pm at the Peckham Arch, Peckham Square, SE15 5JR, where we start our 4th Saturday rides. This will be the last Dr Bike session of the year at Peckham.

You can according to the Services Available -- Cheque deposits page got to  via  https://www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder/0100072/east-dulwich The lookup details there for Lloyds says: "Cheque deposit Yes – with a personalised paying in slip and a deposit envelope from Lloyds Bank "Lloyds Bank cheque deposit envelopes are also available from Post Office branches"
    • It wasn't a rumour, the salon had closed when I posted here. Regarding the Post Office, as I said go and ask them.
    • My annoyance Is with the fact that the gym is being closed for 5 weeks for refurbishment but we dont have an option to freeze our membership if the only facility we use is the gym. Apparently Peckham gym is closed at the same time for refurbishment which I think is pretty stupid. Therefore the nearest gym for all the members from ED leisure centre and Peckham leisurecentre is the one in Camberwell . I lament the everyone active days..at least I could attend gyms near to work and outside Southwark
