free bike maintenance under Peckham Arch October 4th

Last one under the Arch this year. As the weather changes it gets too cold and wet for outdoor mechanics. Cold wet hands don't do good work. If it is sunny and autumnal they may well be at the foot of the ramp leading up to the Arch. If it is wet they will be somewhere underneath it sheltering from the rain (and working. A pic of the Arch is attached. It is at the south end of Surrey Canal Path, just before Peckham High St.

Four mechanics, one pro and three ace amateurs, will be mending bikes, indexing gears, tightening brakes, pumping up tyres, fixing that squeak and telling you why your back wheel wobbles. We don?t carry parts but if you bring brake pads we can fit them. Use our oil. Listen to our wise advice and ask tricky bike-questions. I?ve learned a lot just by listening.

We have the now-discontinued TfL cycling maps and are delighted to exchange local cycling gossip. Recruitment for cycling activism may be attempted but can be declined. Everyone is welcome and everything is free. We are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign which works for safe, enjoyable cycling in London. You don?t need to be a member or live in Southwark. Everything we do is free and as welcoming as we can make it.
