Secret Charter is a fundraiser conceived as a creative response to the funding cuts faced at the The Charter School North Dulwich. It has been organised by a dedicated team of Charter Parents with the support of The Friends. Almost 500 pieces of artwork have been generously donated by international and emerging artists as well as students, for us to sell to raise funds to support The Arts Departments at The Charter School North Dulwich.

Secret Charter offers the chance to acquire an original postcard-sized work of art produced specially for us by international and local artists, illustrators, designers, celebrities and art students. Just ?40 buys you a Postcard Voucher which will be randomly matched to a piece of artwork in the sale - a lucky dip.

Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Julian Opie and Gary Hume are just some of the big art names taking part, while celebrity contributors span the spectrum from Jeremy Corbyn MP, actor Hugh Grant to TV presenter James Corden. Young art students from the school will sit alongside some of the most celebrated names in contemporary culture.

Come and visit our extraordinary exhibition on Monday 15th October at The Dulwich Picture Gallery 12-9pm. Entrance to the main collection, and to Secret Charter is just ?5. For full details on how to buy visit www.secretcharter.co.uk

    • A beer in the garden would have been nice, I'm sure! Mine was a meal inside. I don't remember much about it except that it was horrible.
    • Went to the Harvester a couple of times to have a beer in the garden, it was quite popular and had a 'certain' charm.
    • I never went in The Grove when it was a pub, but I had a meal there once when it was a Harvester (I used to occasionally be a Mystery Shopper, and I was persuaded to go and have this meal because it was a bank holiday and they couldn't find anyone else to do it.) It was truly horrible. At least I got paid for eating it, albeit not very much, but I think I would have paid not to have to eat it. If it becomes an "affordable" restaurant again, I hope at least it has decent food. Why do "these youngsters" need "adult help" to be enterprising? They aren't six year olds!
    • At the end of the day, whilst these youngsters have been enterprising presumably with adult help & I also assume no local youth group - the fact remains that it is a prime site fir redevelopment be it a supermarket - Aldi, Lidel whatever or social housing which, let’s be honest here lots  of people need.   Know Idea why has been derelict gor do long anyhow, but somewhere on this site I think there is a problem with who owns it. And let’s not forget the homeless man who slept there - Front on Lordship Lane who had his home destroyed by I assume vandals a couple of years ago.
