Our fantastic nanny is going on maternity leave in mid-November and we are looking for an equally fantastic nanny to look after our children whilst she is on maternity leave.

We are two families with five children between us ? two seven year olds, a five year old and two (almost) three year olds. We are looking for a nanny to work from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday. The share is always based at one house.

During term time the three oldest children will need to be dropped off and picked up from school (a 10 minute walk away). The youngest two haven?t yet started pre-school, so they attend several local groups and enjoy games, arts and crafts, playing in the garden/park etc.

We are looking for a responsible, reliable individual with a sense of adventure, who wants to get out and about with the children, making the most of what London has to offer. School holidays are pretty flexible. Often, the older children will be booked into sports camps or activities during the day, or one or both families will be away on holiday.

We have successfully been involved in nanny shares over the years, so can offer a well-organised package, with two very friendly families, in the heart of East Dulwich.

Driving license a bonus, but not a must

OFSTED registration helpful, but not a must

Excellent references essential

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Chris

    • Place your on-screen cursor over the name of the sender, the sender's actual email address should appear, often with scammers it comes up with  a very unbusinesslike address. Failing that, you should be able to speak to Virgin and ask if legit, Microsoft on the other hand I wouldn't bother trying to contact...
    • Bit hard to do that in the middle of the night without causing even more disturbance to other neighbours than the original barking! Are you sure you need to provide an address? There must be loads of instances where it's very hard to trace the source of a noise, and I certainly wouldn't want to be roaming around by myself in the middle of the night trying to track it down! It does need to be triple glazing, not double. I was told that it's what they use for office windows at Heathrow, but I've no idea if that's true. It doesn't make the room completely soundproof, but it does make a huge difference. There must be no gaps anywhere, even very thin ones, where noise could get through.
    • Maybe just stick to describing what they did, rather than calling them anything? Though I completely understand your frustration, having encountered similar people in official positions in the past who you wonder how they ever got their jobs, grammar.
