dingading
I'm flying to visit my friends in few weeks and I was just wondering if I could take my child backpack carrier as my hand luggage? I've got Little Life Voyager which I love and my boy enjoys as well but it's a little bit to long (30x35x68) as for the dimansions of hand luggage(20x40x55)Could I do that or would I have just a lot of problems??? Many thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20391-child-carrier-as-a-hand-luggage/ Share on other sites
Ruth_Baldock
stupid question, but why don't you wear your boy in it? We did this on a recent trip and when we got onto the plane, took our toddler out and stowed it away in the overhead lockers...We were still able to have other hand luggage, our backpacks etc. Who are you flying with? bluesuperted
Good point, baby carriers are ignored IME and so handy at airports anyway. We flew United/Continental. 123ed
I don't think it should be a problem. I did that few times with my LO. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20391-child-carrier-as-a-hand-luggage/#findComment-497607 Share on other sites
dingading
Yes I mean to have my son in the carrier but just wasn't sure if I actually could take it on the plane as the carrier is a bit big and I'm not sure if that would be my luggage or am I allowed another bag? I know it wouldn't be a problem if I had simple carrier like baby bjorn, which dosen't have any pockets, but this one looks more like a backpack then carrier.I'm flying out with ryanair and easyjet on the way back. newtoedf
I wouldn't even consider chancing it with ryanair. They treat excess baggage fees as a revenue stream and staff are expected to maximise them. Easy jet are a little better. The little life ultralite convertible is hand luggage size or use a soft carrier like an ergo you can roll up and put in your hand luggage. Sorry to be so bleak but I have had my fingers burned so many times and it is an expensive business...
