new mother
We went round it last term but are focussing more now - not particularly impressed by anything save the wide choice of after school clubs. Can anyone elaborate on how these work? The head is being replaced by a chap from a fulham prep. Has anyone met him? enjoy
Hi, Forget about after school clubs. There are hardly any available. It seems like a lot, but they are age restricted, so onlyA very few to choose from. Go on their website and doSome research. The facilities are rubbish (sorry, but true) but to behonest, both my kids (and me too now) are very happy there.Great teacher, all down to earth, good atmosphere ... All very good. And l like the new head, made a great Impression. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20386-rosemead/#findComment-497095 Share on other sites
new mother
Errr thanks. I have obviously read their website. What I am looking for is a parent's assessment of the value the after school clubs offer - thank you for that.Is it an academic environment or a more nurturing one? I heard that the current head allows children access to her during the day and I cannot decide if this is good- eg for support vs bullies etc - or a well intentioned waste of her time. Jacks50
I personally think there are plenty of clubs. The clubs available increased gradually as the children get older. My son is now in year 3 and he does something most days. We are very happy with rosemead. its small and nurturing but also has great results.
