su judd
My 86 year old father is moving to the area and needs a few hours care which would include cleaning and ironing and most importantly, lively conversation. Does anyone have any recommendations that might help me start the finding of someone? mshah
As far as the lively conversation and daily contact is concerned try good gym. Runners stop by for a chat and cuppa and get their exercise too. It's such a good concept. IlonaM
Also, remember the volunteer befriending services offered by AgeUK (https://www.ageuk.org.uk/lewishamandsouthwark/services/) and Link Age Southwark (http://linkagesouthwark.org/) for lively conversation, activities, advice etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/203736-elderly-parent-care/#findComment-1279193 Share on other sites
