50cc moped or scooter

Perhaps foolishly, I have said I'll help my 17 year old buy his first moped/scooter. It needs to be a good runner, with an MOT, but not too bothered if there are bumps and scratches. Let me know if you have one that might fit the bill! Thanks

Suggest you phone some of the central London scooter dealers such as Metropolis and ask them to let you know of any trade-ins or customers changing bikes as lots of older scooters now being disposed of due to the ultra low emission zone starting in April. You could pick up a roadworthy usable scooter for ?100-?300 that will be good until the zone expands in October 2021. Check insurance as most insurers won't cover new riders on some makes / models
