TheCat
Was thinking today about my son starting school next week. He's in reception, so they delay it until next week. Started to get emotional after we tried on his uniform the other night. What i think as well is that the hard part is that at nursery you get to take them right in, and then you walk away from them. But with school you only get to go to the gate, then they have to walk away from you to an environment you're not really allowed in. Talk about a brutal metaphor:) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/202981-starting-school/ Share on other sites
kristymac1
My son is fairly sensitive to new unknown things (like all kids tho'he definitely wears his heart on his sleeve). When he started reception the teachers were very happy for me to walk into class with him and then say goodbye - other parents did too, bit chaotic but set the kids up better for the day... He's year 2 now and skipped in without looking back yesterday. Good luck next week, it really is an emotional time x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/202981-starting-school/#findComment-1275593 Share on other sites
