An hour is a period of 60 minutes. I think the OP means 48 of them (or 96 if you call on a Friday) may pass before the offending item is removed from the pavement.

I've often just washed an offending deposit left outside my house into the gutter with water and disinfectant. I don't know if that's entirely legal but it seemed much better than leaving it on the footpath, and I'm certainly not tempted to pick it up.

It would be easier if it wAs by my house ... The bloody stuff is everywhere

I always report it via my phone and used to see it gone next time I passed, usually... But not any more, it seems

I reported some on Saturday that was still there on Wednesday

new mothers should not be expected to do these things.

Did you take a sample on Saturday to compare it Wednesday's poo? It may have been cleared up but another was left in just the same spot. Just a thought. I've had another one (thought). Did you take a picture with your phone? Probably as good as taking a sample and less messy.

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
