A friend of mine was mugged for his phone near the junction of Crystal Palace Road and Upland Road on Monday evening. Perhaps rather foolishly he fought back which resulted in the muggers own phone falling to the ground. My friend picked it up and despite the mugger's pleas he refused to give it back! It was subsequently handed to the police who used it to phone the mugger's mother leading to the arrest of both the mugger and his accomplice yesterday!

Hello Carrie, My name is Daryl Anderson and I'm a reporter at the Southwark news.

The story that you have outlined is really interesting and I would love to get some more information about it and perhaps write a piece to go in the newspaper.

If you could get back to me regarding it then that would be great.

I hope to hear from you soon.

My email address is daryl_21@hotmail.com

Thanks

    • Very happy to add my recommendation for TDR property maintenance. Tony and his team have transformed my front garden, breaking up a bare patch of concrete and laying a beautiful victorian tiled path. They've also repaired a wall and a fence for us. Richard's tiling has been meticulous and Tony's communication has been great throughout the process. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
    • Perhaps this could be part of your proposed forum meet up, the cheese I hasten to add @Sue
    • Sounds like you've had some interesting evenings 🤣
    • Shame, go there!  Although embarrassingly we only used it takeaway during lockdown.  It's a Persian store/cafe/restaurant if you are unaware of the cultural reference in the name.   Just checked the menu and it is phenomenal and good value too, thanks for reminding me to go there  https://foratasteofpersia.co.uk/restaurant/
