jonnywalker
one stall owner told me tonight that the circus has many kids with cancer going tonight who all have special wrist bands and are going on all the rides for free. I'd like to spread the word about the nice things they do for the local community Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/202211-funfair-on-peckham-rye/page/2/#findComment-1276277 Share on other sites

fishbiscuits
These things can turn into a bit of a money pit though, can't they? Managed to burn through ?20 in one hour, with just one kid! Managed to burn through ?20 in> one hour, with just one kid!You got off lightly. The kids fair on Goose Green this spring had me ?60 down in the same 1 hour or so duration. The ?8 Paw Patrol helium balloons (image rights prob unlicensed) were beautifully positioned for maximum cash extraction. fishbiscuits
Well, I brought the tiny terror a calippo from the ice cream van. She spent about 15 minutes sucking the life out of it, before fastidiously draining the melted remnants of luminous goodness into her little gob. So while that may have cost ?3, in reality it saved me around a tenner. The other top tip is the large inflatable slide thing, which the kids seem to stay on for as long as they like.
