Are there any charity tinned food collections in local schools?

We have some tins of soup that, whilst currently in date, are going to fester in our cupboard until they are out of date. I know it's too late for harvest festivals but are any schools or clubs that are collecting tins of food for charity or christmas hampers?

Little Jungle nursery were collecting for Harvest Festival, not sure if they still are but think I saw the box there last week....
