GoldenApe
I?m sorry to say we're looking for a home for our lovely cat Arthur. Over the last few years I've become incredibly allergic to him and can no longer have him around the house. Plus, it?s unfair to him as he really likes a cuddle and doesn?t get any from me anymore. If any of you are looking for a very friendly cat please let me know - also please feel free to pass on our details to anyone who might be interested. Some details about him: He?s a friendly black and white (neutered), very affectionate and has been great with our kids. We are not sure how old he is, probably around 13, but he is still spritely! We adopted him from the RSPCA about 9 years ago. Anyone who is interested is very welcome to come over and meet Arthur first (SE15). We can give you all our cat related equipment. He's fully up to date on his injections and has a cute wonky 'smile' as he had a couple of rotten teeth removed. He's used to having a garden to go out into so isn't really suited to just indoor life and isn?t used to living with other cats so probably needs to live on his own. Angelina
Oh no! I'm sure that's a tough decision.Have you looked into options to manage/ reduce your allergy?HEPA air filters significantly reduce the allergens - it's not actually the hair that causes the allergic reaction, but the proteins from saliva or dry skin (when they clean). You can get hoovers with these filters too.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Purifier-Multifunctional-Eliminator-Allergies-Bacteria/dp/B07F24WVS7/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1535403170&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=hepa+air+filters&psc=1You can also get immunotherapy from your doctor. It might help..... GoldenApe
Yes I've been trying to put this off for years. Am permanently on high doses of antihistamine and we have a big HEPA air filter that helped for awhile but it's not enough anymore - the allergy keeps getting stronger. siousxiesue
I'd love an older boy but don't have a ton of outdoor space for him. If he was ready to retire and be homely it would be no question! Everhopeful
The Celia Hammond rescue shelter in Lewisham may be able to help you if you are still looking for a home for him.
