And then - well, I leave you to guess what I would do.Admin, I realise you have asked people not to make personal comments on this thread, but as the other posts are still here, I think it is only fair to point out the above. White Bread Flour.Full of High GI Carborhydrates thate creates peaks in blood sugar. Top that up with a cola. and people wonder why the kids are becoming overweight and are developing type 2 diabetes.. Probably not a good choice for an example. plimsoul
i have kids, i love taking my kids out to eat. i have been in bars in ED, cafes or gastro pubs and have been both pleased at how some parents deal with their children and been shocked at how some parents take no control of them. i have also tolerated parents shouting at their kids to come back, above everyone else rather than get up and actually deal with their children running up and down the length of the cafe.i have spoken to managers of bars mentioned in this thread who are appalled at how some families let their kids run riot in places, even after being asked politely to keep them under control.i would therefore suggest that as fact: some parents control their kids = no problem, others don't = a right pain. as for this thread/this forum. i used to be quite active but gave up because it very quickly gets personal and nasty. i've only read the last 2 pages but that was enough for me...but sue your pick up on the posters work after admin clearly asked people to stop is shameless, whatever lame reason you put in there for ignoring the request. I do not agree that my reason for posting was "lame".If admin doesn't want certain posts included on this thread, it is up to him to remove them, and/or to admonish the people posting them. He hasn't contacted me regarding that post. And - who has brought the topic up again after many posts since? You have! What hypocrisy! Not to mention that you have also ignored admin's request not to make things personal! So I suggest that you now let this thread go back to being about the subject originally raised, ie babies and prams in pubs :)And yes, before anyone points it out, I am also guilty of going off-topic, but I really couldn't let that comment go, sorry. As you were :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20159-babies-and-prams-in-pubs/page/7/#findComment-495857 Share on other sites

*Bob*
Well said, Large. I was having a drink in the Horsemeat & Ricketts near Elephant and I couldn't help but admire how all the little soot-faced cockernee rugrats - fresh from being pushed up a chimney - rubbed along so well with the old syphilitic alcoholics. It was a joy to behold.. the little ones listened solemnly to stories about the war, were silent except when spoken to and drank their gin without too much beating. We could all learn something from them. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20159-babies-and-prams-in-pubs/page/7/#findComment-495911 Share on other sites
