Boiler repair man - please recommend

I am looking to find a Worcester Bosch expert please. I have a CD40i with a remote thermostat and since we had some building work done and it was turned off for about 4 weeks I cannot get it to work with the thermostat. I can either have the heating on or off. Can anyone help?

Thanks

By way of feedback/recommendation.

I needed a boiler service and heating system check urgently yesterday for a new house I'm about to move in to.

I called Affleck Property Services, but they could only come on Friday, and wanted to charge a premium for being "out of area" (Upper Sydenham).

I then called Kevin of KT Heating Services as recommended above. He was brilliant! Came out within a couple of hours, bang on time, got my system up and running and even set up the timer for me, bled the radiators etc and explained how it all worked. I honestly couldn't have been more pleased and he charged me half what Affleck had quoted. He is Gas Safe (ex CORGI) registered so will be coming back at some point to cap off an old gas fire for me too.

Smashing local bloke (based on Overhill Rd), can't recommend him highly enough.

His no is 07904 980419 (now stored in my phone for next years boiler service!).

I can recommend John who has posted above - his company is called Hands on Heating, if you search for this or his mobile number I expect you'll find the numerous other recommendations on this site.

John came to service my boiler and heating system a few wks ago and has been excellent and really good value.

Hi,

I have been recommending James on here, I think you will find old posts where user of ED have used him.

Company going since 1973, started by his father. Excellent work, I run a commercial premises and hes the only person my landlord will use because he is very cost effective in his repairs!

07974949425. Cooneyandco plumbing and heating. All recommendations, GAS SAFE, insurance and testimonial info is on their site.

My partner has his own company that is separate from me. He has been recently helping to refurb my commercial centre and my landlord is over the moon with his work. I see how he works because I live with him, I know his quality of work because I get to see it and hear the customers feedback!

If it helps someone to get a job done by a genuine and trusted tradesman then what is wrong with that. As a business owner myself I would not put my neck on the line to recommend someone if I did not KNOW their work was 100%. Believe me, there are friends and extended family members I wouldn?t dream of recommending but thankfully my partner is one of the hardest working people who is an absolute perfectionist and has been doing what he does for 27 years.

It is NOT like recommending myself, not at all.

I am just wondering why my post of recomending my partner, who is actually employed by me to carry out work on my commercial centre is deleted but it is ok for others to recomend themselfs? I do not see the problem in people recomending people they know, I have been honest about it but what I cannot understand is if this is not allowed, why it is ok for others to remain doing the same? This confuses me as to the rules of this forum.
Can only back up recommendations for John Powers on this strand. Our boiler broke down yesterday and we found his name and contact here. He arrived with all the parts on the same day. Quick clean service, reasonable and honest rates. Genuinely local rather than a agency or call centre agent. Highly recommend. 07977 909 339
Another recommendation for John following a boiler service a few weeks ago - he was punctual, friendly, efficient and charged a very reasonable rate. He also gave me some advice regarding our boiler without putting on an ounce of pressure to engage him to do the work. I already knew about the issues he pointed out and it was refreshing to have someone give me the facts without trying to alarm me into signing up on the spot. A very nice guy to deal with.

Eagles and seagulls have also been seen on large numbers in the area.  I'd keep away as it could be carnage. Certainly watch your ice cream cornets and perhaps wear ear plugs. Not sure if this is anything to do with the local authority or the Labour government, no doubt someone will find a link.
