Loulou
Just getting out of my car and was asked by a man carrying a packet of cat food in Upland Rd who looking for his cat with a bent tail, could he look in the back garden, said he lived down the road. I recommended he post on the forum, he then said he had only just lost the cat and walked off. The story seemed a little strange to me! Peckhamgatecrasher
I have a lovely image of a chap with a tail. Probably not wise to let a total stranger into your house; even if he is genuine, better to err on the safe side. J27
I met him too. I think he's genuine. He didn't ask to come into my garden, just asked me - and my neighbour - to have a look. His garden is at the back of ours, so it seemed reasonable to think the cat might have strayed over to our side. Hope he finds him. Apparently he's a grey burmese with - yes - a bent tail. Fiacre
We were in a similar situation last week and the kindness of neighbours at the back of us allowed us to quickly locate our lost cat and after much persuasion return him home. People went out of their way to help and we were warmed by the generosity of spirit people demonstrated. Restored our faith in human nature - a big thank you to those who let us look in their gardens.
