Yeh, I think at least one of the four lots of callers I had said that.

It's a common ploy, because it makes them seem official and respectable.

ETA: And it's a sort of half-truth, because the actual grant itself does come from the government. But, the grant money goes to the private company who she works for, not directly to the householder.
