Sue
Around 7.30 tonight there was a man lying on the ground outside the old Plough DIY shop, with a lit scented candle and what appeared to be a pile of books. He wasn't begging. I asked him if he was alright and he said he was.Just wondering if anyone knows him as it seemed quite odd, but I didn't want to pry as he evidently didn't need help. Dulwich Born And Bred
Sounds like the same chap I saw outside little Sainsbury?s. He was sitting there with a pile of books scribbling away on a notebook. Sue
JohnL Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> The heat maybe :)It was the lighted scented candle I found a bit odd.It was still broad daylight.I was saddened and perturbed by the number of people who just passed him by though. He could have been ill or hurt. His eyes were closed when I stopped. In fact I had to walk down to the next bus stop, because I couldn't bear to watch. There was no way that the passers by could have failed to notice him lying there. Sue
BTW I notice both another thread and this one (and possibly more) have had the original headings added to by admin. Is this a new forum policy? Administrator Administrator Posted August 8, 2018 Administrator Share Posted August 8, 2018 No, I've always done to the odd title here and the to make the forum more useable. In fact it's in the terms of the forum that hasn't changed for 12 years "- We also reserve the right to edit or delete postings .... usually the title to make it more relevant." intexasatthe moment
I keep wondering about several thread titles now - is the bit in parenthesis the OP's work ? Or that of Admin ? And looking at others and thinking mmmm ,wonder why that wasn't clarified ? -) sorry ,need to get out more !
