Just to warn everyone that parking tickets are being given out if you park on Strakers Road (road to the carpark in Peckham Rye). I received a fine of ?130 today, along with many other cars in the same row, for parking with two wheels on the pavement. In my ignorance I hadn't realised this was an offence and thought I was being considerate in trying to ensure there was still enough room for other cars to get by. So please be careful when parking there!

Inconsiderate Drivers do this, I walk with an Metal aid if I have the option of trying to pass a car that is parked on the pavement close to a wall, I can take a risk and it takes time for me to get in the road, the road being very busy, and trundle past, or squeeze through the tight space left for me to get through, I would not intentionally damage a car but if it did get damaged then I would not feel guilty.

As I see it the driver has taken a risk the same as if he had parked on a yellow line.

Why do people feel the need to park there anyway? I went down on Friday afternoon, after school, and the park, of course, was heaving with people enjoying the sun. Happy days. The car park was busy, yes, but still spaces. But there must have been 10 or so cars parked along Straker road (as well as the camper van advertising the comedy club).

Just you wait till those Spooks types come back to the Rye - you'll get more than a ticket then :)
