After school Nanny needed for September 2018

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a nanny for our daughter after school 3.30-6.30/7 Monday - Friday during term time. During school holidays the role could either be a full time role or could arrange for them to be in a holiday club ? this is negotiable. We live in East Dulwich and our daughter will be 8 next month. We live within walking distance of the school and many parks so no car/license required. References needed.

Please pm me if you are interested.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I am looking for a full time nannying position starting September, and can do extra hours during school holidays as well as helping around the house with chores if need be. I am ideally looking as working 25 hours a week, but can be flexible.

A bit about myself. I graduated last year from Nottingham University with a degree in Art History. I have a keen interest in art and horticulture and love to read about these two topics. In the future, I would love to pursue a career in Floristry. Furthermore, I play Piano and really enjoy listening to music.

I have a very strong work ethic, as well as being very organised, clean and reliable as well as fun and lively. I am an avid cook and use to work as a Chef in a cafe on Lordship Lane, therefore I am very capable of preparing meals for children if this is necessary.

In terms of past experience looking, i've cared for children from ages 3 to 7. Furthermore, I have young siblings who I care for as well as a 4 month old nephew too. I have references from parents in the Dulwich area that I will be able to provide you with. Please see this thread for a recommendation from a parent I babysat for http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1835268,1952057#msg-1952057.

Please would it be possible to give me a rough idea of what you would pay an hour.

I would be more than happy for us to arrange a meeting over a coffee if you like so you can interview me and ask me any questions you have.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Phoebe

    • It's great that the council will do this, but it does seem a costly waste of their scarce resources, unless there are factors which I don't know about? Surely rather than dealing with a few piles of dog poo on request on an as and when basis they need to find some way of addressing the whole problem? What do other boroughs/countries do? Have things got worse since COVID, when the dog population seems to have quadrupled round here? Did some people acquire dogs without thinking through the less cuddly aspects of ownership? Could dogs be trained to use a litter tray and/or bury their own poo, like cats do? 🤣 (That was a joke, btw).

    • They could refund tix already bought though, couldn't they? We did this recently when we had to reschedule a gig due to the headliner's serious illness. That was a bit different because people had the option to transfer their tix to the new date when confirmed. But in  theory everybody could have got a refund, though in practice only a few people took that option up.
