My eldest is always boiling - wet with sweat at night. She has the lightest weight duvet - 1 tog & I've just shaken it down so she's really just under a sheet.

Do others have experience of this - do they grow out of it? She is 7 now & has been this way for as long as I remember.

Surely it can't be good to sleep so hot?

Daughter is the same although she is only 2 years. Her bed and herself are normally soaked in the morning. When I go in to check her before I go to bed she has kicked all the covers off and is literally dripping. I think its all normal, a lot of people are hot during sleep.

    • The boards are for services provided by the council and/or non-profit groups or state agencies. Private micro businesses are to be congratulated and supported but they are able to advertise their services elsewhere, now more than ever, as part of their business plan. (This also applies to those who insist on plastering lampposts and bus shelters with their advertising, complete with protruding plastic ties at eye height!)
    • ‘All and sundry’ is just another phrase for ‘the community’ isn’t it?
    • Another strong endorsement for Niko here. Super professional, did a great job fixing a pipe and bottle trap in our bathroom, with no fuss or drama. He's also a thoroughly nice fella, so deserves all the good words being said about him here. 100% recommended. Give him a call 07818 607583.
    • They’re not there to be used by all and sundry for their private businesses (which earn money) — social media, postcards in shop windows, ads on the EDF and free newspapers are the right methods for that. I agree though that these notice boards should be kept in better nick and used as planned, namely to advertise council services etc.
