The Arts Factory

After the huge success of our Saturday morning Art Club in Dulwich Park we are now expanding and starting an After School Club in East Dulwich.

Venue: Goose Green Centre

Time : 3.45pm - 5.00 pm (pick up from St John's & St Clement's Primary available on request)

Our art clubs are great fun and all children produce very high quality pieces of art work across a range of mediums. Sessions are taught by two specialist art teachers with many years experience and a commitment to raising children's self esteem and critical thinking through their engagement in the arts.

My daughter who is 10 has been going to the Saturday Club since its beginning and absolutely loves it. She's enjoying the class enormously and comes back with very elaborate and thought through pieces of artwork that she has been working on for several sessions. The teachers seem very passionate and make it very enjoyable by interesting the children in their subjects, introducing and studying different styles through various well known artists and by regularly taking the children outside for sketching sessions. My daughter also loves the diversity of the different medias they are using, drawing material, painting, modelling, printing etc. I would really recommend the Arts Factory to any child who loves arts, wants to enjoy a creative moment or wants to improve and explore different techniques.
Totally agree with above post - my daughter loves going to this art club on a Saturday. Always diverse and interesting. I love the fact that they draw outside and take inspiration from current exhibitions, architecture and (not the usual suspects) artists. At last! an art club for kids that is intelligent, engaging and fun at the same time. Lovely, experienced and bright teachers too. Highly recommended!
I completely agree with the above posts. My 10 year old son has been going to this art club on Saturdays. He has a habit of giving things up after a few weeks, but after two terms is still really enjoying it and looks forward to going every week. George and Lynn who run The Arts Factory are amazing. They're passionate, curious, fun and have loads of experience of teaching art. I like the way they use lots of different techniques and make the most of the environment they're working in. Also, I love the fact that the kids get to work on some of their pieces over a number of weeks, so they have time to think about what they're doing and develop their ideas. Most definitely recommend!

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
