Well, I've just wasted far too much time reading the insane conspiracy theory ranting nutjobs in the comments section of SJ's initial link, until I came across one poster who described them all as the "irrationati". I haven't come across that one before and it has a better ring to it than plain old nutjobs, so not entirely wasted time, I suppose.
Not meant as a criticism of your post SJ just the net loons that like to have their say. Getting back to the original post though, apart from the excitable language, isn't he just saying there might be another crash, if there is some people will make money from it and the banks have decided Greece is a busted flush. I don't see what's too controversial about that, aren't there plenty of commentators expressing similar concerns?

    • John Lewis’ delivery companies has left a few items outside my front door without ringing the bell.  Other times they rang the bell. It seems to depend on which company is delivering.  Amazon also leaves items outside without ringing the bell or even sending me tracking. They used to be very good about this though.

    • The actual problem is thieves trespassing on your property and stealing your property. But yes, let’s list the companies we buy from who deliver carelessly and then we can collectively avoid them. I’ll start. John Lewis - has to be signed for Forthglade - has to be signed for Amazon - will leave on doorstep but detailed tracking is available so there is time to ask a neighbour to pick it up, or to be home yourself Ebay - seller specific. You can ask (before you buy/pay) for the item to be posted recorded delivery or with tracking. The things I bought all needed to be signed for.
