snowboarder
Maybe it's just me!! But some cool prams on their way - a double tandem micralite, a babyzen single that looks like a bee, a baby jogger city mini with adjustable handle and airfilled tyres and a new city mini with parent facing seat!! Too exciting...http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/313755_10150326007601100_295323881099_7912345_1745999613_n.jpg Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19661-for-the-pram-a-holics-only/ Share on other sites
candj
You're too funny snowboarder. It was because of your post (99% sure it was you) of the Tripp Trapp newborn pod thingamajig that made me buy one! You should be in pram PR! That's her job. Bloody marvellous! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19661-for-the-pram-a-holics-only/#findComment-476225 Share on other sites
mrs f
Ruth_Baldock Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> I know someone who tests prams. Part of my job is wear trials (shoes) it's a bit I LOVE, makes me v popular as I give them out too! Anyway that's all off topic.... Funky looking mikralite.. You got pics of the others?? BellendenBear
Looks like a bit of a shin-basher to me. And possibly not good for those of us with short arms.Edited to add that I am not a pram-a-holic! I have settled on the uncool Quest + buggyboard combo. Hence my bashed shins and stretched arms. snowboarder
I think April. Have a look on Lullaboo Baby's facebook page for other images. The new baby jogger with reversible seat to make it parent facing sounds great. Hmm - shall I start saving?!?As I've said before, prams are the new handbags/snowboards, yes? I just like 'kit'. Yak
Snowboarder, you should change your forum name to The Pram Lady. If I ever have another baby, I would pay cold hard cash for your advice! snowboarder
To add - news also of 2 new phil and teds prams (the 'dot' and the 'promenade'), a new tandem from TFK that looks like a phil and teds and the NJoy Bubble stroller - an umbrella buggy with parent facing option! So much fun! amydown
I had loved the donkey and really wanted one but when I actually went to see it, didn't like it at all. Too heavy and odd looking with the basket in single mode... Belle
particularly as it looks like it's quite rubbish! do sometimes think that we forumites should get together and design a pram. I'm sure manufacturers consult etc, but there so often seem to be such obvious flaws in designs. Saffron
I'm particularly annoyed that all the super lightweight easy-folding buggies are either (a) ridiculously expensive, or (b) carry a top weight of 15 kg. My daughter isn't even 2 years old and already weighs 15 kg! Why can't there be a stong and lightweight folding buggie that doesn't cost a fortune. Definite gap in the market for a good design team!! snowboarder
Saffron - the 15kg limit is not necessarily such. I can't remember the details but I think that in Europe buggies are only tested to 15kg - hence the limit. Check the weight limits for exactly the same strollers on US sites for instance - Maclaren state's the quest is suitable up to 55lb (so, what, 25kg?) in the States - can't see that the US buggy is any different.... jules b
Saffron, -so true! I asked in John Lewis about this 15kg limit and was told that yes, much heavier kids are put in the buggies, but that the warrantee won't cover you if there's a problem. Sigh. Seems like a cop-out to me! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/19661-for-the-pram-a-holics-only/#findComment-501161 Share on other sites
