How long to get a passport renewed?

It says about three weeks - is this realistic? It's twice the price to have a fast track and I have six weeks before I go...

Mine took around 2 weeks a couple of years ago...

Mine came back within the week as did our son?s. But we were not applying in the run up to summer holidays. Six weeks should be plenty so long as all the paperwork and photos are correct.

I got mine this time last year. I had to pay for a 2 week rush (which apparently isn't even guaranteed). I mentioned my worry to the person processing my application as it was 6 days before my holiday and she told me it's actually a quiet time of the year which surprised me. It came in 3 days.

Just done mine - took 2 weeks and they keep you updated by text.

If you're really desperate you can get it done in a day by going to your nearest Passport Office with the necessary documentation (and well loaded up card!!). See the Passport Office website.

Did mine online this month. Put application in Monday evening & passport arrived the following week, Wednesday. Lots of text & email updates as well.

Just renewed kids? passports, took 10 days from submission at P.O. to receipt of new passport and accompanying original docs.

ETA: It took 10 days NOT 20 !

I had my daughters passport the same day , if you are prepared to wait and have all the relevant documents and fee. They used to be in Petty France not sure where they are now. Take a good book to read it may take all day. Good Luck.
